Dallas Parsons, sports nutritionist "Mike has coached me in the sport of triathlon for the past 3 years. My swimming, cycling and running have all improved enormously; just look at my results in this website's 'Hall of Fame'. At my first sprint triathlon in 2001, I did a walk-run on the 5km run course. In June 2003, I completed my first Half-Ironman!! And now, I'm training with Mike for Ironman Canada 2004. Come on out!" |

Cary Parsons, IBM sales "The coaching and training I have received from Mike Bobick has been invaluable. 2003 was my second triathlon season, and my goal was to go under 11 hours at Ironman Canada. Mike personalized a program that definitely worked for me. I can say with certainty that without Mike's coaching and experience, I would not have achieved my goal. I completed my first Ironman in 10:47:06 and feeling great. By training with Kinetic Potential, I lost 30 lbs, improved my 2km swim time by almost 5 minutes, eliminated 30 minutes from my 1/2-marathon time, ran my first marathon and improved my endurance and power on the bike. Mike shows up for every workout prepared to have fun and motivate you to achieve a level he knows that you are capable of. In addition to Mike's coaching, Kinetic Potential is a fun and energetic Triathlon Club." |

Ann Oishi, college athletic director "I had a real curiosity in attempting a triathlon and had no idea where to start. After finding Coach Bobick and his Kinetic Potential group, I got heaps of professional information, coaching, guidance, and support. Mike and his group have been a huge part of my life - this new group of friends have given me so much motivation and more importantly, brought fun into this new adventure in my life. I have an excellent training program to follow and lots of personalized workouts, and it is with this direction that Ihave confidence, after only 2 seasons of doing triathlon races, that I can finish Ironman 2004!" |

Marc Perrot, construction worker "My journey in preparation for Ironman Canada was a great experience. Training under the guidance of an experienced and knowledgeable coach certainly helped propel me to a higher fitness level, and a finishing time that I did not think was attainable for my first Ironman (10:11:27!!). I would recommend Kinetic Potential to any athlete looking to better their times and enjoy the camaraderie of training with a group." |

Belinda O'Loan, UBC English student "In just over a year, I went from completing my first sprint distance triathlon to finishing Ironman Canada in just over 13 hours. If it hadn't been for Mike's encouragement, support, and coaching skills, I don't think I would have made it! Mike Bobick is one of the most dedicated triathlon coaches around; he's out there with us rain or shine, snow or sleet, up mountains and down. You won't get this level of coaching and personal attention with any other coach for such a reasonable fee. I particularly recommend Mike to either the rookie who is training for their first triathlon the experienced triathelete who is looking to tackle a new distance or event." |

Andrew Davidson, student "With Coach Mike's training I successfully completed 2 triathlons in the 2003 season and have learned a lot. His philosophy of life-long training has helped me maintain a state of physical fitness and well-being as I focus on my studies. The group is very supportive as well, which makes training that much more enjoyable." |

Michael Lee, Air Canada - in-charge flight attendant "When I decided to start a triathlon trainin, I was looking for two things - an experienced coach and a fun training group. Mike’s coaching guided me through my training and helped me improve my race times. I was able to PB in my 10k, Marathon (and qualified for Boston!), Olympic, Half-Ironman and Full Ironman Triathlon races. In 2003, I attempted my second Ironman Triathlon and finished with a time of 11:03:51, an improvement of over 45 minutes. Mike’s experience in getting me mentally and physically ready was invaluable. I was able to approach each race with confidence. Secondly, the other members of Kinetic Potential helped motivate and get that little extra out of me. No matter how keen I was, I had my ups and downs and knowing that there were other athletes going through the same thing sure made it easier and more fun." |

Calvin Kuo, computer specialist "Training for triathlon has helped me a great deal both personally and athletically. My confidence level has skyrocketed since I started. Mike personalizes the training plan according to each athlete's fitness conditions. And unlike some coaches, Mike, himself, trains along with us; therefore, he is able to give his attention to each of us accordingly. The group is small and the atmosphere is very cozy like a family. I think it's a great value that Mike provides." |

Georg Rieger, physics lecturer & research associate "I started running about two years ago, using a running program out of a book. I was able to build up to 7-kilometre runs and I competed in my first sprint triathlon. I struggled on the run, however, and decided that I needed coaching. When I joined Mike's group for his track workouts, Mike taught me proper running form during the first few weeks. It is fair to say that I really learned running from him. My better form immediately translated into faster running splits and my runs also felt easier and smoother. I went on to complete 10 km runs and my first Olympic distance triathlon. A year later, I am still running with Mike's group. My 10 km split times in triathlons have improved from 51 minutes to 44:48! And my half-marathon time is 1:42:31! I can definitely recommend Mike's workouts to anybody looking for improvement in his or her running. You will not only improve but you will also have fun with a nice group of people. Mike is a very supportive coach and tailors the workouts to the individual goals and needs of his athletes whether you are a beginner like me or a seasoned pro." |
